Hello.

My name is Marco and this is my portfolio. I’m neither a journalist nor a professional writer even though I have written some articles and essays. I’m not a film director though I love cinema and have experienced some filming and editing of my own. I’m not a graphic designer but I use pencils, paper and all the common apps. I’m not a programmer but, let’s face it, I can turn into a real geek from time to time. I’m not a psychologist yet people’s behaviour tickles my mind. What I’m not makes me an interaction designer. My interests are narratology, storytelling and artifacts’ ability to provide complex narrative environments.

As one of the creator of Processing Casey Reas showed us the basics of the programming language in relation the generative design patterns. I worked with Francesco Fraioli and develop the basic concepts nd software of the installation we later presented in the Randomclapping exhibition in Pola (Croatia).

Sogno Tempesta

In my dreams I am the storm, this is a possible translation of the italian title of this video I shooted a few years ago. The video is about the sea, the wind and the noise and a man trying to record them with the microphone. It has always been a never-ending work in progress but I’m still working with the musician Victor Andrini (the man in front of the sea) to complete the soundtrack and the editing. Here is a preview of the final cut.
